Santa Baby (:

Dear Santa,

I would say that I have been decently good this year. Besides the arguing and bickering between my mother and I, but Santa I have been trying my hardest to get along with her, but if you have been watching it's very difficult. I would say I have been doing pretty good with school except for math, those darn proofs just get me. I also have been working very hard in all my classes, especially with the "don't talk" part. I don't want much for Christmas all I want is the gift of patience and an iHome.

Privacy? I think not!

I think that TCA body scanners are completely invading our privacy. In videos that I have seen it does not even detect what it needs to. They are not needed, completely unnecessary and stupid. If they do not help us and all they do is embarrass people, then why have them?

Wonderful

The smell of smoked ham and turkey. The warmth of the house from the happiness in the air. Thanksgiving is an amazing holiday. This Thanksgiving I'm going to spend time with my family at this big dinner we are planning when relatives that I have are planning to come down from everywhere. The first thing I'm thankful for is God because he gives inspiration and something to live up to. Second is my family because they help me through things just by making me feel loved. Third is my friends they support me and make school worth getting up for every morning. Fourth would be all the wonderful food and even water that we can enjoy in moderation while other people would love to even have one meal per week. The fifth thing I'm thankful for is the freedom for religion, school, and fashion.  The sixth thing I'm thankful for is the nature that God created for us to enjoy. The waters, the trees, the flowers and the land are things that are absolutely beautiful and we forget about it. The seventh thing that I'm thankful for are my two dogs and my sweet kitty. My health is the eighth thing I'm thankful for. The ninth thing I'm thankful for is the different types of music that we can listen to and express ourselves with from the sorrow to the happiness music can fit the mood you're in. The last thing I'm thankful for is the technology that we have for entertainment or even for saving someone's life.

Luxury or Necessity?

After the money and consequences that will take place over cigarettes through a persons life nothing will stop them from buying cigarettes because first of all they are addicted. I think that people wouldn't let the graphic pictures bother them and continue to smoke because most people have a careless attitude on their health and just want to die having known that they died doing what they want, but really they will suffer with different types of cancer. Cigarettes could tear a family apart and it takes money out of your pocket, also. Cigarette users should stop and think, is it a luxury or necessity?

The McBummer Meal

The discussion on the ban for low-nutrition kid-toy meals is bitter sweet because it is the parents' responsibility for what they feed their children, but then again some parents don't care for their kids like they need to thus meaning that they rely on fast food for an easy meal. They haven't banned toys yet but after the hearing goes through they will decide. I agree with there decision because it may be the parent's responsibility but some parents have no responsibility and they can't leave it up to the parents to feed their kids healthy food. The McDonald calorie guideline is 600 calories or less. I think McDonald's had a good idea with the fun part of the meal but they just need more nutrition and then it would be perfect.

Beach Breakfast

The smell of pancakes and syrup awoke me. I hurriedly slid out the white french doors of our family's beach vacation house. I stepped out on to the patio, loving the smell of the ocean's waters, the wonderful sound of the waves crashing against the sand and the warmth of the sun hitting my face. I walked to the side of the patio, thrilled by the sight of my favorite meal, pancakes. I sat down expecting the rest of my family to walk out at any time. I waited, trying to be patient, but with the hot pancakes and thick syrup sitting in front of me it was very hard. Finally, my family started arriving at the table one by one. Before I knew it they were all there. I enjoyed eating a delightful meal right beside the beach where I love it the most and with the people I love the most.

Myth or Fact?

I honestly don't think time traveling is possible, but why else would a women casually have a cell phone pressed against her ear in 1928? I think that time traveling could be a theory. To support my theory, I would say that a woman from the future traveled back, and even without service, she pretended to be on the phone to see if anyone would notice. We did notice just a while after it happened.

Sustantivo(Bird of Paradise)

If I could be any animal I would be a bird. One reason would be because I would love to soar through the air at amazing speeds with the wind blowing against me. If I were to be a specific type of bird I would be the Blue Bird of Paradise because they are absolutely beautiful with a lovely shade of blue and touches of other bright colors. They also live in warm rain forests that are wonderfully pretty.

Oreo!

Penguins are so cute you could just eat them, like Oreos! I would name the penguin Oreo because the colors on the Penguin correspond with an Oreo and because Oreo is just an amazing cookie in general.

Suicidal Second Graders

Little kids are so dramatic sometimes and a lot of the time we go over the line of  being theatrical. "I'm gonna jump" Kaitlin claimed as she stood on top of a five foot slide. "This could be brutal" I thought to myself. Kaitlin had just moved to Wellington and was apparently not liking our school. "Don't do it!" I screamed in horror thinking she would really get hurt falling off of a five foot slide, but I was young and naive. "I can't stand it anymore!"Kaitlin shouted frustratedly. "Fine. Jump, but when you get in hurt don't say it was my fault," I said, giving in to her suicidal attempt. Jumping dramatically, Kaitlin screamed and landed perfectly surprised at what a short fall it was. Finally, she realized that her suicidal trial had failed.

Beneath Earth's Surface.

I don't know how I would be able to stand it underground, trapped for even a day, but if I had no choice then to stay entertained, the other people and I would maybe share memories or life lessons. We might also talk about likes and dislikes. I would probably feel sad, but I wouldn't show it because I wouldn't want to sadden the mood of the other people so I would probably try to make everyone happy by telling funny stories of my family and friends. The necessities I would want to bring would be: my makeup bag, my iPod, and a couple books. I would bring these things because for one makeup entertains me and it uplifts my spirits. I would bring books because I love to read and write, and if I want to be a writer someday I need to read books to sort of understand how a book is organized. I would bring my iPod because music came make time seem to go by a lot quicker and it could distract you from what kind of situation you're in.

Unpredicted Storm

The clouds turned a dusty, ugly brown from the window of the airplane.  I could see flocks of birds flying the opposite way of our plane, like they were flying away from bad weather.  The atmosphere inside and outside of the plane sounded unusually quiet and seemed fretful.  I tried to push my worries away and keep calm.  Planes have always intimidated me and the mood of my surroundings weren't helping my fear.  Suddenly, I felt the plane whip to the side from a gust of wind.  My heart was beating rapidly and my hands were beginning to shake.  My mind went blank other than this one question, "Am I going to step off of this plane alive?"  The intercom came on abruptly and made me jump.  The pilot of the plane was speaking in panic when he said, "I will need everyone to stay calm when I say that we have run into an unpredicted storm.  I heard the passengers around me gasp.  The wind picked up, you could feel it pushing the plane back as we were flying forward.  Suddenly, I heard rain and hail violently hitting the top of the plane. I silently thought to myself, "I'm no scientist, but the weather foreshadows a tornado." I felt the plane jolt to the side as the wind had whipped us upside down. We were spinning uncontrollably. The passengers were screaming.  My body was being pulled in different directions. After what I thought seemed like an hour we were actually right-side up and alive. We looked to the side and saw a funnel shape come down from the sky. The passengers screamed from the top of their lungs. I was actually witnessing a tornado in the air. The wind was pushing us sideways and the hail was falling harder on the top of the air plane. "This is going to be an immediate landing. Please don't panic," the pilot said assuringly. The plane jerked and bounced to a frightening stop. I went into a trance of shock that I was still alive. Everything was a blur up until the moment I stepped out of the metal door of the plane. The sense of not being in motion and getting off of the plane felt amazing

The Victorian Era

The Victorian period is the period of art. Clothes were absolutely stunning I wish clothes were still as formal and elegant as it was during that time. Women wore corsets, baloonish sleeves and crinolines. They also had wonderful balls in beautiful ballrooms with amazing orchestras. This era is wonderful in many ways but my favorite is the fashion.

My Perfect day

The snow was falling like soft cotton balls. The snow was crunching beneath my feet making a rhythm with every step I took. I walked about a block until I got to a wide white stretch of land where the most ultimate snow fight would happen. Suddenly I was being pelted with bundles of snow. Out of squinted eyes I could see Jordan, Samantha, Macy, Mayra, Valerie, Clayton, and Kaitlin. After hours of slipping, throwing, laughing and yelling we all went back to my house and sat next to the fireplace with a steamy cup of hot chocolate where memories would be made.
